Turkey Knits

What a great Turkey weekend - in a beautiful location, with family, and steak for dinner (we have never quite gotten into the turkey thing...).  And some knitting was accomplished, although not as much as intended (hands get sore easily from pregnancy-related swelling - isn't that a treat?).

Here a quick pic of the Noro and Lamb's Pride Felted Bag for my SIL - I am looking forward to seeing what happens when this is felted!  (Another Christmas present was also completed, but this one is hush-hush as the recipient reads this blog - I can't wait 'til later to show you all!)

And just in case Yarn Harlot is right - about babies not coming until the knitting for them is done - I brought along the Velvet Touch Baby Blanket, which only needs just one last little edge put on it.  Here it is in the crumpled state, and while I have since gotten some worrisome feedback about how well this yarn will hold up, it is a dream to knit with (and the swatch went through the wash with no problem).

I think this is going to be a great blankie!  (Is it weird to want to steal from your unborn child???)

I love the Noro bag. I'm sure your SIL will love it too. No I don't think it's wrong to want to steal from your unborn child, but just think, as you swaddle your babe and rock them to sleep, you get to feel the soft touch of the baby blanket too!

Wow..the noro bag is going to look dynamite. And no, it's not wrong to steal from your unborn baby! Take the blanket..take the blanket! LOL
